My home made winch mount.  The stock bumper is boxed as well as reinforced along the front.  The mounting points are reinforced and larger bolts used (7/16" UNF grade 8, stock is M10).  I also lost the captive nut and put in normal nuts by holesawing access from below.  The mount itself is bolted to the bumper with 1/2" grade 8 bolts and to the front cross member with 3/4" grade 8 bolts.  The cross member had crush tubes weled in.  The bolting was sized for a safety factor of 5:1

The whole mess was galvanized.  It has worked well.  The only failing is that I should have reinforced the ends of the bumper as well.
